The Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland (MIBI) has proudly secured our Diversity Silver ‘Reaccreditation’ Award from the Irish Centre for Diversity (ICD). At MIBI we continue to listen to the voice of our people and this 2nd Silver Award is recognition of our efforts to create a collaborative environment that embraces Equality, Inclusion and Diversity.
On overall performance, MIBI’s inclusion score this year was 91.7%. The is 2.1% higher than our 2022 score of 89.7%, and substantially higher (+14%) than both the national benchmark of 78%, and the overall insurance industry score of 81.7% (+10%). We are all very proud of this excellent outcome.
MIBI CEO, David Fitzgerald commented, ‘What has been clear to us from the beginning of this journey is how important it is to foster a workplace that embraces and promotes the values of Diversity and Inclusion. This is something that really matters to the entire MIBI and is a real team effort. It is especially true of everyone on our Diversity & Inclusion Committee, who have driven and co-ordinated all our activity and managed our engagement with the ICD‘.
As part of our ongoing commitment to gender balance within our Organisation, MIBI became proud signatories of the Women in Finance Charter in 2023. Signatories of the Charter commit their organisations to improving the number of women in management and board level positions to achieve better gender balance and a more inclusive working environment.
