NEW MARKETING CAMPAIGN TARGETS UNINSURED DRIVERS

The Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland (MIBI) has launched a new marketing campaign which will be aimed at uninsured drivers and potential uninsured drivers. The objective of the campaign is to emphasise the increased risks and problems facing those who drive without insurance.

Motor Insurers Insolvency Compensation Fund (MIICF) Contribution Rate

MIBI wish to inform Members that as set out in Section 16 (3G)(1) of the Insurance Amendment (2018) Act, The Minister for Finance has agreed to maintain the current percentage rate contribution of 2 per cent for both the 2020 financial year (contributions payable in June 2021) and the 2021 financial year (contributions payable in June 2022).
